SQL as A Data Manipulation Language : DELETE

The DELETE statement is used to delete existing records from a table. The basic syntax of DELETE statement is :
 DELETE FROM table_name;
Example :
 DELETE FROM employee;
The above statement will delete all the records from the employee table.

 We can also combine DELETE statement with WHERE clause :
 DELET FROM table_name WHERE [condition];
At above we can combine two more conditions using AND or the OR operators.
 DELETE FROM employee WHERE EmpNo = 210;
The above statement will delete a row where EmpNo (employee number) is 210, from the employee table.
