C String Functions

C supports a wide range of functions that manipulates null-terminated strings. All these functions are packaged within the string.h library. The following is the list of some of the most commonly used String functions :

Function Description
strlen() Returns the length of the string
strcpy() Copies one string into another
strncpy() Copies given number of characters of one string to another
strcat() It is used to concatenate(combine) two strings
strncat() Appends a portion of string to another
strcmp() It is used to compare two string
